Provider Appreciation Day is May 12

United Way of Door County, in partnership with the Women’s Fund of Door County, will join community organizations nationwide in celebrating local child care providers. Rep. Joel Kitchens, state Sen. André Jacque and County Board chair David Lienau are declaring May 12 Provider Appreciation Day in Door County. 

United Way will provide lunch for the staff at all four licensed group child care centers, as well as Peninsula Preschool, Sturgeon Bay Head Start and the YMCA’s after-school program, and gift cards will be sent to home-based providers.
