Public Health Releases Community Needs Survey

Since the mid ‘90s, Door County Public Health (DCPH) has conducted a Community Needs Assessment (CNA) every five years. The CNA is a systematic process involving data collection and analysis, interviews with community partners and input from residents. These CNAs help DCPH better understand the health needs of the community. The four areas of focus from the last assessment included mental health, adequate/appropriate safe food and nutrition, oral health and healthy growth and development.

The next step in this year’s process is to gather input from residents. We need your help! All Door County residents can take part in this process by completing this 2022 Door County Health Needs Assessment Survey. Click the link or get a paper copy from the DCPH office. Your input will help shape DCHP’s focus over the next several years. The survey is completely anonymous and does not collect any identifying information.

Once the data is compiled, DCPH staff and a team of community partners will analyze, prioritize and work to develop and implement a response to the identified needs of our community. We anticipate the results to be available in the fall and will share through public forums and various mediums at that time.
