Public Health Vaccine Update

Door County Public Health has received confirmation that it will receive 150 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in addition to 120 second doses. The department has contacted the first 150 on its waiting list and scheduled those appointments.

Public Health will schedule appointments only after it receives confirmation of its allocated amounts. If you received your first dose from Public Health and scheduled your second dose appointment, that appointment is still valid unless you hear from the department directly. The scheduling of appointments usually begins Monday mornings and will continue until all appointments for that week are full.

If you are on the waitlist for public health but have received the vaccine elsewhere, please call 920.746.7180 to be removed from the waitlist. This will assist in scheduling clinics each week.

Wisconsin has adopted the updated CDC quarantine guidance for fully vaccinated  people who are exposed to COVID-19 (govdelivery.com).

Individuals who have received both doses of vaccine do not need to  quarantine if they are a close contact of someone who has tested positive within 90 days after receiving the second dose. If the close contact is after the 90 days of receiving the second dose, quarantine  recommendations remain the same at this time.
