Public Invited to First Open House at Harbor View Gallery & Studio

Harbor View Gallery & Studio, recently opened by resident artists BK and Rob Story, will have its first open house on Friday, October 2, from 2 – 5 pm. The open house will give visitors an opportunity to meet the artists and see their creative work. Refreshments will be served.

Opened in August, the gallery features Rob’s paintings in oil and watercolor that capture all the seasons in Door County. He has originals, prints and collages available. Also on display are BK’s works in fused glass and silver (PMC) jewelry.

Along with BK and Rob’s work, nine other local artists work can be found filling all four rooms of the gallery, including:  Randy Rasmussen, plein air watercolor; Dianne Saron, pastel; Liesbeth Fickes, sculpture in wood, stone and ceramics; Cynthia Board, mosaic plates and sculpture; Gary Orthober, hand carved wooden birds and figures; Barbara Knupper, hand woven tapestry, rugs and scarves; Rick Risch, photography; Marcia Nickols, hand painted ostrich & rhea eggs; and Gretchen Celbke, fused glass plates and bowls.

Harbor View Gallery & Studio will be open through the month of October from 10 am – 5 pm on Mondays and Wednesday through Saturday, and open 1 – 5 pm Sunday (closed Tuesday). It is located at 7810 State Road 42 (the yellow house on the curve in downtown Egg Harbor).
