Public WisDOT Meeting Scheduled

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay announced a public involvement meeting has been scheduled for Sept. 16 from 5 – 7 pm for the proposed reconstruction of WIS 42/57 between Michigan Street and Egg Harbor Road in Door County. It will be held at the Sturgeon Bay High School, 1230 Michigan Street. A short presentation is planned for 5:15 pm. Construction is scheduled for 2015/16.

The proposed improvements include:

• Construction of roundabouts at the Michigan Street and Egg Harbor Road intersections

• Reconstruction of the Alabama Street intersection to add left turn lanes for WIS 42/57 and prevent straight through and left turns from the side road

• Reconstruction of the corridor between these intersections

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide comments concerning this project. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project and answer questions on an individual basis.
