Pulse Hosts ‘Buy Local’ Mixer April 10

Get to know the team behind Door County’s locally owned, independent newspaper at the Door County Economic Development Corporation’s Buy Local mixer April 10. Tour the Peninsula Pulse office, meet the team and enjoy food from Thyme Cuisine and Catering, Tapuat Kombucha and local beers.

Founded in 1996 by college friends David Eliot and Tom McKenzie to highlight the arts and events of Door County, the Peninsula Pulse has grown into a year-round, trusted source for news, entertainment, culture, business, sports and much more.

The team of 20 local reporters, editors, designers, filmmakers, distributors and salespeople not only produce the weekly newspaper, but also create six issues of Door County Living magazine, two weekly podcasts and dozens of videos through Peninsula Filmworks. They also distribute print materials and posters for scores of Door County businesses through Paper Boy. They also partner with the Peninsula Pacers to put on the Door County Half Marathon, Peninsula Century Rides, Door County Beer Festival, Door County Pond Hockey Tournament and – new in 2019 – the Door County Wine Festival.
