“A dry October has translated nicely to low grain moistures and swift harvests for Wisconsin farmers. According to the ‘Wisconsin Crop Progress & Condition Report’ for the week ending Oct. 25, ideal drying conditions in the past several weeks have promoted crop maturity and brought grain moistures down rapidly. The latest seven-day stretch was a good one. It gave farmers 5.7 days suitable for fieldwork, which was going strong until weekend rains stalled the forward progress.” ~ Wisconsin State Farmer
