Pulse Website Traffic Surpasses 1.4 Million Sessions

Moving the needle when it comes to website traffic can be a fickle business. It’s often the sum of many small efforts that lead to long-term increases. Here at the Peninsula Pulse, we focus first on serving our communities relevant and accurate stories about news, events and happenings through quality writing and efficient reporting. We then get those stories to readers through mail, newsstands, email, social media, search and even podcasts.

And that’s how our audience continues to grow. During the 12-month period that ended Aug. 6, we saw our web traffic grow to 1.43 million unique sessions – an increase of 23 percent compared to the previous year. Users grew 25 percent, to 768,018 unique visitors to DoorCountyPulse.com; and page views climbed to 2.34 million, a jump of 20 percent.

By the end of 2019, more than 1 million people will visit the website to find out where to see a band, what a village board decided to do with its tax dollars, and what’s happening – even on a Tuesday night in January.
