There are many reasons to party this weekend: Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner, the mercury is slowly rising to bearable temperatures, and a large number of motivated folks are running 13 miles in the Door County Half Marathon. Anyone who runs 13 miles deserves to party.
So come out of hibernation and shake your booty to some sweet tunes.
Saturday, May 3
• Muddy Udders, 2 – 6 pm
Husby’s Food and Spirits, Sister Bay
This trio based out of Green Bay features multi-instrumentalists Matty Day, Augie Barnhart, and Roelke Barnhart – Wisconsinites who bonded over their love of music and good times. They showcase an indefinable blend of genres – think honky-tonk hyped up on Red Bull, spiked with some rock, some roll, and some pop. They will present their toe-slapping tunes for the official Door County Half Marathon post-race party.
• Katie Dahl & Dorothy Scott, 5:30 pm
St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, Baileys Harbor
Chill out with some lovely tunes from singer/songwriters Katie Dahl and Dorothy Scott. Both have toured throughout the country, capturing audiences with their poetic lyrics and gorgeous melodies.
• Death Folk, 5:30 pm
The Cookery, Fish Creek
Door County musicians Nick Hoover and Jess Holland combine their talents and present some old folk songs with darkly beautiful harmonies, bright modern tunes, and everything in between.
• The Offseason, 9:30 pm
Arroyo Bay Grill, Fish Creek
Door County favorites The Offseason, featuring Elliot Goettelman, Rob Gay, Joshua Gregory, and Nick Hoover, present an eclectic mix of rock, reggae, and Americana – catchy tunes that beckon you to the dance floor or (for those who are a little shy) nodding your head along to the beat.
Sunday, May 4

Stone Harbor Resort, Sturgeon Bay
Welcome summer with reggae beats, Caribbean tunes, and your favorite Bob Marley covers. Unity, hailing from Appleton, will have you grooving the afternoon away.
