Quarry RV Park Application Submitted to County

The developers of the proposed Quarry RV Park aim to create an upscale complex for Class A motor coaches. Submitted.

Developers have formally filed plans for a 117-unit RV village at the old stone quarry property across from George K. Pinney County Park in the Town of Sevastopol.

The application is under review by the Door County Land Use Services Department and will be considered by the Sevastopol Plan Commission at its Jan. 14 meeting. Plan Commission Chair Linda Wait said that meeting will include time to take public comments. 

The town falls under county zoning. The plan commission will make a recommendation to the town board; that recommendation will then be forwarded to the Door County Resource Planning Committee to take into account when it reviews the application. 

Linda Reimer at the Land Use Services Department said she has received more than 100 letters about the proposal, all in opposition.
