The 10th Annual Amish Quilt Show and Sale will be held from July 17 – 20 at the Sister Bay Village Hall. The event showcases over 90 Amish Quilts, wall hangings, rugs, table runners, placemats, baskets and more and will once again be sponsored by the Jacksonport Craft Cottage.
A highlight of this year’s event is the participation of Quilter’s Quest, a full-service quilt shop located in the Country Walk Shops in Sister Bay. Quilter’s Quest, which is open daily, has over 3,000 bolts of fabric, over 200 books, endless patterns, as well as, some unusual notions to assist quilters in their “quest” for creating a quilted masterpiece.
During the Amish Quilt Show and Sale, Quilter’s Quest Owner, Linda Batley, will be demonstrating some various quilting techniques and tricks in the lower level of the Village Hall. Everyone is encouraged to come and see, as well as try their hand, with a mysterious four-sided placemat, a “Toothbrush Needle” rug or placemat and paper-piecing blocks
