R&B Artist Tony Brown Performs at Door County’s Third Avenue Playhouse

Professional musician Tony Brown has been playing soul, R&B, blues and reggae across the country and around the world for decades, and will make his first appearance at the Third Avenue Playhouse on July 16 at 7:30 pm.

A Waterloo native, Brown has recorded 20 albums and spent much of his adult life living in Wisconsin. His music encompasses a wide range of styles and has been influenced by artists like Curtis Mayfield, James Brown, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, and Sting.

Next to performing, listening to and encouraging the next generation of musicians is his greatest joy. Brown runs the Big Backyard Jam Session every other Thursday night at Shakespeare’s Pub in Iowa City.

Tickets for Tony Brown are $16 for adults, $14 for students and seniors and $8 for children. Tickets are on sale at the theater box office, open Monday through Friday, 10 am – 3 pm, located at 239 N.
