Reception for “Daybreak” at Edgewood Orchard Galleries

Painting by Roger Bechtold.

Edgewood Orchard Galleries will be hosting a Memorial Day Weekend Reception on Saturday, May 29 from 4 – 7 pm to introduce the artists and artwork included in the current group exhibit titled “Daybreak.” Refreshments will be served, and the public is welcome.

To create the body of artwork for “Daybreak,” gallery owners Nell and J.R. Jarosh asked the over 150 artists that are represented at the gallery to create artwork that explores the transition from night into day. The resulting body of work is a captivating collection of paintings, glass, jewelry and pottery, including the featured artwork of Ellison Bay potters Jeanne and David Aurelius. The “Daybreak” show opened May 1 and runs through June 8 on the main floor of the Edgewood Orchard fruit barn.

In addition to the “Daybreak” show, a collection of new paintings by Rodger Bechtold is featured in the Little Gallery.

Now in its third season, the gallery’s sculpture garden continues to feature an expanding collection of outdoor sculptures in a variety of price ranges, including new work from well-known sculptor William Jauquet and new birdbaths and benches from clay artist Amy Zachariasen.

Edgewood Orchard Galleries is located at 4140 Peninsula Players Road, one block east of Highway 42 between Egg Harbor and Fish Creek. For more information call 920.868.3579, email [email protected], or visit http://www.edgewoodorchard.com.
