ReConnect Program Undergoes Second Round

The U.S. Department of Agriculture will begin accepting applications for the second round of ReConnect Program loan and grant funding, which enables the federal government to partner with the private sector and rural communities to build broadband infrastructure in areas with insufficient internet service. ReConnect funding applications can be submitted at usda.gov/reconnect.

Telecommunications companies, rural electric cooperatives and utilities, internet service providers and municipalities may apply for funding through the ReConnect Program, which is making available approximately $200 million in grants, up to $200 million in loan-and-grant combinations, and up to $200 million in low-interest loans.
