Red Cross Lends Support to Gulf Coast

The Northeast Wisconsin Chapter of the American Red Cross recently deployed 15 trained disaster response volunteers and an Emergency Response Vehicle to the Gulf Coast in the wake of Hurricane Isaac. Countless others are working locally to support teams in the Gulf Coast as needs grow. Massive flooding responses are long recoveries and expensive. Blood donations are also needed. Hurricane Isaac forced the cancellation of blood drives along the Gulf Coast and will cause a shortfall of blood in the area.
