Red Putter Changes to ‘Purple Putter’ June 16

For the third year, the Red Putter Mini Golf will turn purple for one day  to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Door County. This year’s event is held during Ephraim’s Fyr Bal celebration on June 16, 10 am – 10 pm.

For each round of golf, The Red Putter will donate $1 to Big Brothers Big Sisters; $1 will also be donated for every hole-in-one on the course.

Red Putter also hosts Derby Day on July 7 in celebration of the late Bob Yttri’s would-be 81st birthday. Don your own Derby, or other “fancy hat” and receive half-off your game of golf; baseball caps don’t count.

The 17th Red Putter Pro Tournament is scheduled for Aug. 4. To qualify, golfers have to score under par on the course. The top prize is $2,000, a trophy and The Red Jacket.

The Red Putter Mini Golf, open daily 10 am – 10 pm May through Oct., is located at 10404 Hwy 42 in Ephraim.
