Reggae Icons The Wailers Coming to DCA

The Wailers – living reggae legends – will perform Sunday, Sept. 19, 7 pm, on the Door Community Auditorium (DCA) Main Stage.

Their story began when they first stepped onstage with Bob Marley in 1974. Now led by renowned band founder and bassist Aston “Familyman” Barrett and joined by original guitarist Donald Kinsey, The Wailers boast a stunning lineup, conjuring the spirit of the music in the way that only genuine reggae royalty can.

Nitelife wrote, “The Wailers do a superb job of holding the torch – a celebration of love, music and a heartfelt ode to the legendary Bob Marley.”

The band members resurrect the essence of 1970s rebellion when they perform their best-known hits, as well as deep cuts from Bob Marley’s incredible back catalog. When The Wailers come wailing, audiences around the world respond enthusiastically.

Their performance is made possible with support from major sponsors 106.9 The Lodge, Fireside restaurant, Dale and Margaret West, and the Peninsula Pulse; as well as supporting sponsor Parkwood Lodge.

Tickets ($35-$58) are still available. Face masks are required regardless of vaccination status. Audience members are encouraged to visit dcauditorium.com to learn more about current COVID-19 protocols at DCA.
