Registration is under way for the back-to-school program organized annually by the Kewaunee County Public Health Department to provide some of the required school supplies for children in need. Families that qualify for assistance are those on WIC, Food Share or BadgerCare; those who partake in the free or reduced-cost breakfast or lunch programs; and those who have found themselves in an emergency situation.

Supplies will be distributed Aug. 14 at Lakehaven Hall, 96 Ellis St. in Kewaunee. Registration forms received after the Aug. 5 deadline will be accepted, but those registrants will be assigned a later pick-up time. Walk-ins may go to Lakehaven Hall on Aug. 14, 4:30-5 pm.
