Registration Closes May 26 For Celebrate Water Summit

Don’t miss the 2019 Celebrate Water Summit, June 4-6. Registration closes May 26.

Cave diver Jill Heinerth will deliver the keynote presentation June 4, 7 pm, at the Door Community Auditorium; it’s free and open to the public.

June 5 will feature a luncheon discussion with author Dan Egan and educational presentations by Joel Brammeier of the Alliance for the Great Lakes, David Groenfeldt of the Water-Culture Institute, Val Klump of UW-Milwaukee’s School of Freshwater Sciences, Mike Gilbertson of the Wisconsin DNR, Jamie Patton of UW-Madison and UW-Extension, Amber Beard of projekt hABitat, commercial fisher Dennis Hickey, Greg Kleinheinz of UW-Oshkosh, Kewaunee County dairy farmer Don Niles, Matt Winden of UW-Whitewater, cave diver Jill Heinerth and Krista Lutzke of the Door County Invasive Species Team.

Bret Bicoy, president and CEO of the Door County Community Foundation, will speak at the breakfast on June 6.

The cost of $35 per person includes three meals, six of 12 educational sessions, the luncheon with Egan and refreshments during breaks. Optional morning field trips with transportation will be offered June 6 for an additional fee. The summit will close with an afternoon networking gathering at Door County Brewing Co.
