Registration Open for Crossroads Trail Run

Registration is open for the sixth annual Crossroads Trail Run (2K, 5K, 10K) on June 20, 2015. The trail run takes place on a 200-acre preserve at Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay. This chip-timed event is for all ages, all levels of runners and walkers, and a great family event.

As Cheryl Ehlers from Kimberly, Wis., wrote, “This was the most positive run I have ever done. To see that I could click a link and watch my son and I cross the finish line in a video clip was just the best! The course was probably the best marked I have ever seen. We will be making this an annual run for sure!”

Every participant will receive a high performance t-shirt, a reusable travel mug and high-efficiency light bulb. As each participant crosses the finish line, they will receive an evergreen tree donated by Evergreen Nursery. Post-run refreshments consist of ice cream from Schopf’s Dairy View Country Store topped with cherries from Orchard Country Winery & Market.

Awards for the 5K and 10K races include maple syrup from Henschel’s Farms, heirloom tomato plants from Lakeshores Landscape and Design, and honey from Max and Dee’s Honeybees. The youth awards this year have been donated by Door County Candy.

Ministry Door County Medical Center is the presenting sponsor of Crossroads Trail Run event and is sponsoring the chip timing and video clips of each runner crossing the finish line. To register, visit crossroadsrun.com.
