Rehearsals for Peninsula Singers’ Christmas Concert Start Sept. 25

Do you like to sing? Are you interested in a fun group that enjoys singing everything from classics to Broadway to folk music and beyond? Come join The Peninsula Singers.

The fall season of rehearsals for the Peninsula Singers Christmas Concerts begins Sept. 25 at 6:15 pm, at the United Methodist Church in Sturgeon Bay. Registration and a social hour will be held up until rehearsal begins at 7 pm.

Singers of all ages, starting with freshmen in high school, are eligible for membership. Though there is no audition, the ability to sing and read music is very helpful. Experience with choral singing is also helpful, but not required. Selections for the Christmas concerts include: “Do You Hear What I Hear?,” “Welcome Now the Holiday,” “Gesu Bambino,” and “I Hear the Prophet Callin’” by Pepper Choplin.

The group rehearses at the United Methodist Church each Monday at 7 pm. Dues for the 2017-18 season are $25. Peninsula Singers is directed by Merle Colburn and Mary Hall serves as assistant director. For more information, call 920.743.8861.
