Remember when…

On Sept. 7 the Heritage Village at Big Creek will provide the perfect setting for families and friends of all ages to “remember when…”

“It will be a great day and fun for everyone,” said Renee McAllister, event coordinator. “The pioneers were very creative when it came to leisure activities, utilizing whatever they had on hand.” In keeping with the day’s “old-fashioned” theme, activities will include a potato sack race and wheelbarrow race, as well as traditional games such as cat’s cradle, which is played with a simple string.

The day’s activities will be held throughout the village, some in its historic buildings, as well as on the surrounding grounds. Admission is free. For more information contact Renee McAllister at 920.743.6258.

The Heritage Village at Big Creek, located at 2041 Michigan Street, Sturgeon Bay, is open daily from 1:30 – 3:30 pm through October 5.
