Renaissance Women

The Meadows Art Gallery will feature Door County women artists in a show called “Renaissance Women,” from July 1 – 29. The reception is scheduled for July 5, 5 – 7 pm.

A Renaissance woman is an artist that can work in more than one media direction to make their artistic statement. Some of the artists included in the show are contributing work done with different art materials than they typically use. Some are displaying artwork where they’ve tried out new techniques with art materials they have always used.

The artists have been encouraged to contribute older work as well as brand new. This will provide the opportunity to see how each artist’s path has grown. Included in the show are Door County artists: Nancy Akerly, Jen Aldrich, Helen Bacon, Donna Brown, Barb Kenyon, Bethany Kirwen, Brigitte Kozma, Marcia Nickols, Bren Sibilsky and Lori Wier.
