Renard’s Opens Factory for Tours

Renard’s Rosewood Dairy, located at 248 County S, Algoma, is offering cheese factory tours. Visit the factory and learn about the family tradition of cheesemaking, why cheese curds squeak and why cheese is yellow. Enjoy a five-minute video of the cheesemaking process and sample fresh cheese.

Cheese factory tours are $3 per person. Due to the small size of the factory and restrictions on visitors in production areas, the tour size is limited. Advanced registration is required. Tours are about 30 minutes and are offered Mon. through Wed. at 8 am and 10 am, as well as Thurs. and Fri. at 8 am. No open-toed shoes or photography are allowed in the production area.
