Rep. Gallagher Announces 2017 Congressional Art Competition

This week Rep. Mike Gallagher announced the 2017 Congressional Art Competition is now open to all high school students in the 8th District. Students can submit their artwork to the office of Rep. Gallagher and the winner will have their artwork displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol alongside the winning artwork from all other participating districts from around the country.

Accepted artwork includes: paintings (oil, acrylics, watercolor); drawings (pastels, colored pencil, pencil, charcoal, ink, markers); collages (2D); prints (lithographs, silkscreen, block prints); mixed media (use of more than two mediums); computer-generated art; and photography.

Submissions must be received by Rep. Gallagher’s Green Bay or Appleton district offices on or before April 24. In addition, the Neville Public Museum and Trout Museum of Art will accept artwork submissions during special artwork intake day.
