Residents Around Kangaroo Lake Hold Boat July Fourth Parade

Residents around Kangaroo Lake were invited to participate in an impromptu July Fourth Venetian boat parade, complete with lights on the boats and patriotic decorations.

Organizers expected 10-12 boats to participate, so they were delighted when more than 30 decorated boats joined the parade. The group started at the causeway, circled the lake, then anchored south of Echo Island to enjoy the fireworks around the lake.

The organizers thank all who joined the celebration and hope to make this an annual event.
