Respect Life Prayer Line Set for Oct. 17

A Respect Life Prayer Line will take place Oct. 17, 1:30-2:45 pm, when people from all Christian denominations are invited to gather along Sturgeon Bay’s Michigan Street for peaceful, public witness and silent prayer to end abortion.

Participants will stand 10-15 feet apart and hold signs as they pray silently, each in their own way, and not interact with passersby or other participants. They should park at the Market Square/Police Station parking lot off Michigan Street, where they can pick up signs and receive instructions. Participants may also make their own signs, but graphic, condemning and political images and messages are not acceptable. Attendees may also provide their own chair and umbrella for rain or sun.

At 2:45 pm, participants will drive to Calvary Baptist Church on Egg Harbor Road for a 3 pm program featuring Donna Brendel, executive director of the TwentyTHREE61 ministry; and Peggy LuMay, the organization’s board president. All are welcome to attend the program, whether they participated in the Prayer Line or not.

The Respect Life Prayer Committee, which has participants from seven churches, is sponsoring this event. Call 824.5029, 495.1356 or 743.2260 to find out more.
