Revisit the Story of Herman Birnschein

The Egg Harbor Historical Society will revisit a previously offered program, “The Herman Birnschein Story,” on June 13, 2 pm, at the Kress Pavilion, 7845 Church St. in Egg Harbor.

Eileen Roberts will tell the story of her uncle Herman Birnschein and his time in Egg Harbor. In 1931, Birnschein built a three-bay service station where he not only pumped gas, but also sold Chevrolets and much more. The stone structure at the intersection in downtown Egg Harbor has been preserved and now houses retail shops.
