Reynolds House Reopens as the Door County Dragonfly Bed-and-Breakfast

Lauren and Matt Huston have revamped and reopened the former Reynolds House in Sturgeon Bay as the Door County Dragonfly bed-and-breakfast. They retained the historical charm of the 3,800-square-foot house, built in 1900, but have added fresh elements.

The new owners had not planned to open a bed-and-breakfast, but when the pandemic affected their jobs in Milwaukee, they were eager to make a change. In October 2020, they moved back to Sturgeon Bay, where Matt’s family has resided since 1851, and were eager to use their experience in hospitality, marketing and events to begin their venture.

“Sometimes when traveling, you find a place that you just love, and we want to be that for our guests,” Lauren said.

The Door County Dragonfly has three rooms available for booking, complete with private bathrooms, a light breakfast and a daily happy hour. Visit doorcountydragonfly.com to learn more.
