Rib Fest, Tree Lighting & More Weekend Plans

Whoever said Door County is slowing down hasn’t seen this weekend’s events calendar! Celebrate veterans with a free performance by the U.S. Air Force Band, loosen your belt for the 8th Annual Rib Fest, or head over to Ellison Bay for the first Christmas tree lighting of the season in Door!

A Patriotic Performance

Honor our country’s veterans with a free performance by Starlifter U.S. Air Force Band at the Door Community Auditorium. This seven-member group performs every genre you can imagine, from rock to jazz to country, while inspiring patriotism and connecting communities with military service members. 7 pm.

Turn those summer memories into works of art during the Landmark Resort’s Scrapbook Spectacular weekends! Rooms and tables are free of charge – just gather your supplies and head on over.

Ribs Aplenty

Enjoy a delectable evening of ribs during Neighbor to Neighbor’s 8th Annual Rib Fest at The Lodge at Leathem Smith. Partake in samplings of chef’s ribs (and vote for your favorite!) while enjoying desserts, music, a silent auction and raffles. 4:30 pm.

Facial Hair Face-off

Back by popular demand – the Beard & Mustache Competition at Door County Brewing Co.! Plenty of prizes and categories are available. 7 pm.

Gratitude in Writing

‘Tis the month to be grateful! Gear up for your Thanksgiving with a program on Gratitude Journaling, presented by Write On, Door County. 9 am.

Christmas Tree Lighting

Join in the spirit of the season and gather round for Ellison Bay’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting and caroling, followed by a warm bowl of chili at Mink River Basin Supper Club. 5 pm.
