Ridges Labor Day Events Celebrate Nature for All

The Ridges Sanctuary will dedicate its new, ADA-compliant Range Light Boardwalk on Friday, Sept. 2, 2:30 pm. The accessible boardwalk connects the Upper and Lower Range Lights and allows visitors to easily navigate the open corridor between the two historical buildings. The dedication presentation and social time will be held at the Upper Range Light. Park at the cabins parking lot on County Q or at the Cook-Albert Fuller Nature Center.

An opening reception for the third installment of The Ridges Sanctuary’s gallery series, Inspired by Nature, will follow Saturday, Sept. 3, 10 am – 12 pm, with artist remarks at 10:30 am. The exhibits are A Brush with Nature, a retrospective of works by Jan Comstock; and Natural Abilities: Exploring Environments with ARTS for ALL Wisconsin, featuring selected works by artists with disabilities.
