Ridges Lecture Series Begins

The Ridges Sanctuary kicked off its Thursday evening lecture series on June 19 with a presentation on “Backyard Birdscapes” by Mariette Nowak. Presentations similar to this will continue on Thursday evenings through Aug. 7 (except for July 3) at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall.

Upcoming programs sponsored by The Ridges Sanctuary include: “The Nature Conservancy – Door County’s Old Growth Forests” on June 26; Family discovery night on slugs, bugs and more – the Creepy Crawlies of Baileys Harbor on July 10; and Scott Craven – Wisconsin’s Reptiles and Amphibians on July 17.

The programs begin at 7 pm at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall and are free and open to the public, though donations will be accepted.
