Ridges Sanctuary Hosts Grosbeak Workshop Sept. 9

Learn how to make a small investment that will have a big impact for migratory birds during the Grosbeaks Galore workshop, Sept. 9 at the Ridges Sanctuary.

From 9 am to 5 pm, speaker Bill Volkert will instruct people about the best foods, shelter and roosting spots for birds on your landscape.

The fee is $10 member and $13 non-member. The cost covers coffee and snacks, speaker, field trips and door prizes. Lunch is not provided. A world traveler and birder, Volkert worked at WDNR Horicon Marsh for 27 years. He appears frequently on Wisconsin Public Radio to share his knowledge of birds.
