Ridges Sanctuary of Baileys Harbor Hosts Recycling Extravaganza Sale

The Ridges Sanctuary is hosting its first “Recycling Extravaganza Sale” (a.k.a. Flea Market) Saturday, September 20, during Baileys Harbor’s Fall Fest. Over a dozen vendors will be selling a variety of new and gently-used items. The market will be set up at the Ridges’ Nature Center, 8288 Hwy Q, just north of Baileys Harbor, and will be open 8 am – 4 pm.

“Reduce, Reuse and Recycle” is a slogan often used to address our problem of too much stuff. Flea markets and rummage sales help us to do that – they reduce the amount of goods going to our landfills, and items are re-used by new owners, in essence recycling the materials from which they were made. Vendors will offer antiques, collectibles, books, car parts, nautical items, and many other kinds of “junque.”
