Ridges Sanctuary to Offer Logan Creek Hikes

Enjoy a relaxing fall hike through the Ridges Sanctuary Logan Creek Property on Friday and Saturday, September 25 and 26. Hikes on both days will be led by Ridges Naturalist Karen Newbern and will begin at 10 am.

The Logan Creek area features a variety of habitats, with trails leading through upland deciduous forests, cedar swamps, and several natural communities in between. The sugar maples and beeches will be revealing their fall colors, and many wildflower species will be in bloom as well.

Interested participants should wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear and should meet at the Logan Creek parking area, which is located at 5724 Loritz Road, just south of Jacksonport. Families are welcome for this leisurely 90-minute hike. Cost for the hike is $5 for adults, with no charge for children under 18. Preregistration for the Ridges hike can be secured by calling 920.839.2802.
