Road Crew’s Work is Appreciated in Liberty Grove

The Liberty Grove Property Owners’ Protective Association extends its thanks to the Town Road Committee and the road crew for their service on behalf of town residents and especially for their willingness to hear our concerns about the 2015-16 Beach Road repaving project.

In particular, we’re grateful for the attention the committee and crew gave our concerns about loose gravel shoulders and the need for a pedestrian-friendly grade of gravel. While we grieve the loss of more than 100 live trees and portions of the beautiful canopy that graced the road, we also agree that the road looks very good, and we appreciate the town’s care in completing this project.

We are aware that public service is often thankless, and that people are much more vocal with criticism than with praise. The association agreed at its annual meeting July 29 to voice its appreciation publicly for a job well done. Again, our sincere thanks to the Road Committee and the crew.
