Rock ‘N Bowl Night Puts New Spin on Giving

The fourth annual Rock ‘n Bowl Night on Nov. 18, 6 – 9 pm, at Peninsula School of Art kicks off the School’s bowl making events for their SOUP! project. Rock ‘n Bowl puts a festive spin on creating the handcrafted bowls, which are sold the day of the SOUP! event to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Sturgeon Bay and Peninsula School of Art’s free children’s outreach programs.

Adults 21 and older are invited to attend Rock ‘n Bowl Night and partake of a complimentary meal donated by Rocket DSD and the Fireside Restaurant, as well as beer donated by Door County Brewing Company and Sister Bay Bowl. Music further sets the stage for a fun evening of bowl making. Although Rock ‘n Bowl is free of charge, a suggested $5 donation per person is appreciated.

As in years past, the School will provide all the materials to make and decorate bowls. Other bowl making times at PenArt will be held on Nov. 21 and Dec. 19, 9 am to noon. SOUP! is scheduled for Feb. 6, 11 am – 3 pm.

Continuing with the spirit of giving, Peninsula School of Art will collect items for the United States Marines’ Toys for Tots program. A collection bin will be placed at the entrance to the School’s Guenzel Gallery until Dec. 11. Peninsula School of Art is located at 3900 County F in Fish Creek.
