Roen Salvage Storage Building Approved

Sturgeon Bay’s Aesthetic Design and Site Plan Review Board voted Aug. 28 to approve the construction of a new 78-by-50-foot,

industrial-use storage building on a 12.5-acre site for Roen Salvage at 180 E. Redwood St.

The board also approved a request by Jules Parmentier to build a 40-by-56-foot storage building on a one-third-acre wooded site at the northwest corner of Alabama Street and North 18th Avenue.

Parmentier said he would use the building for his own storage. The red-colored steel building was approved with board chair Rick Wiesner casting a dissenting vote because he said he preferred an earth-tone color that wouldn’t draw attention to it.
