Roger Kuhns Discusses the Niagara Escarpment

Dr. Roger Kuhns will present a program on “The Niagara Escarpment: Its Natural History and Preservation” on Thursday, June 24. The program begins at 7 pm at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall and is a first in a series of Thursday evening lectures sponsored by The Ridges Sanctuary.

Dr. Kuhns is a geologist, environmental scientist, and “sustainologist.” During his presentation, he will delve into the geologic history of the Niagara Escarpment and the Niagara Dolomite that forms its foundation. The presentation includes examples of sustainable practices that can be applied toward Niagara Escarpment preservation.

Thursday presentations sponsored by The Ridges Sanctuary are held each week from June 24 through August 12 and are open to the public.
