Rogue Offers Youth Theater Programs

Rogue Theater is hosting its Youth Theater Camp June 20 – July 13, when performing artists will work with young people to explore creativity and build dramatic art skills. 

The class, for ages 9-15, meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 am – 2 pm, at Rogue Theater, 917 N. 14th Ave. in Sturgeon Bay, and the students will give a public performance the evening of July 13. The program is $75 for new students and $65 for returning students.

Rogue is also offering a two-session puppet-building class during which puppeteer Danny Mantynband of DC Puppet Theater and his assistant, Joanne Metzel, will guide attendees in designing and crafting their own puppet.

The puppet camp, for ages 9-16, meets June 21 and June 28, 10 am – 2 pm, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1756 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay. There is a maximum of eight students. The cost is $25, and scholarships are available.
