Rogue Theater Presents ‘The Christmas Journey’

Rogue Theater will celebrate its fifth Christmas with a holiday production by Rebecca Wimmer, The Christmas Journey. Filled with songs, holiday cheer, and a special message, this production will be sure to please the whole family.

The play begins on the night before the big event, and Christmas is on a journey to the Little Holy City. He and the friends he meets along the way must arrive in the Little Holy City by morning, but the road isn’t always easy. Even with good friends around, dangers threaten to keep them from reaching the city in time. The script offers a host of well-known Christmas carols and a chance for the audience to join along.

The production features a cast of 28 children, teens and adults from throughout the county. The cast includes Kekoa Bicoy, Liliahna Snyder, Ellie Starr, Grace Rockwell, Rose Schommer, Dan Sallinen, Kalei Klaubauf, Briana Barganz, Cadence Carlson, Addison Kluge, Addie Howard, Ellie Propsom, Patrick Haese, Anna Newbern, Alex Mellen, Gianna Roman, Laney Delwiche, Dan Sallinen, Ethan Sallinen, Amanda Sallinen, Sophia Cihlar, Danni Vandertie, Karen Newbern, Bianca Vandertie, Keirsten Mellen, Debbie Leitner, Lola DeVillers and Stuart Champeau. Heidi Hintz will be the accompanist.

The show, directed by Lola DeVillers, runs Dec. 8-10. Performances begin at 7 pm on Friday and Saturday and 4 pm Sunday. All performances will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1756 Michigan Street, Sturgeon Bay. The suggested donation is $10 for adults and $5 for students. Rogue Theater is also collecting dry or canned goods throughout these performances to donate to Lakeshore CAP of Door County. For more information call 920.818.0816.
