Rogue Theater Presents ‘Drive-in Theater’

This summer, weather permitting, Rogue Theater will present “drive-in theater” matinees on July and August Saturdays and Sundays in the parking lot of Sturgeon Bay’s Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. The sloped lot offers an amphitheater-like setting. Actors will use microphones plugged in to the church’s radio frequency so that patrons can enjoy the shows from their cars.

Rogue Theater will showcase some of its classic hits starting July 4, with Great Americans, then The Golden Age of Comedy. There will also be special weekends devoted to Door County high school student talent as a way to honor and involve students whose spring theatrical and musical performances were canceled. Shows will be comedic and suitable for the whole family

A portion of all proceeds for the summer run will go to local food pantries and other COVID-19-related nonprofit organizations.

Patrons may take their own food and beverages, but there are no public restrooms available at this time. Details about specific shows, dates and times will be available soon. To learn more, call Rogue Theater at 920.818.0816 or find it on Facebook.
