Rogue Theater Presents: “Hat Tricks” Aug 25-27

Rogue Theater’s next production is Dori Appel’s Hat Tricks. A staged reading performed by three powerful local actors, Hat Tricks has something for everyone and will be particularly meaningful to so many women. Directed by Lola DeVillers, actors Ginger Auld, Chris Milton and Gwen Severson bring their special talents to create a beautiful picture of women’s lives, laughs and tears.

Hat Tricks is an exciting compilation of scenes and monologues designed for performance by mature actresses. Covering a range of women’s experiences in the second half of life, these unique pieces range from the purely comedic to those that combine humor with thoughtful and sometimes poignant explorations. This is a richly varied collection featuring a single intriguing commonality: every scene or monologue includes the presence and compelling use of a hat.

Hat Tricks will be performed as a staged reading, Aug. 25-27. The shows start at 7:30 pm Friday and Saturday and 2 pm Sunday at Rogue Theater, 340 Jaycee Ct. in Sturgeon Bay. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. For more information, call 920.818.0816 or visit facebook.com/roguetheater.
