Rogue Theater Presents “Lone Star”

Rogue Theater presents James McClure’s comedy Lone Star for a handful of performances at various locations.

Lone Star is the story of Roy (played by Stuart Champeau) and his brother Ray (Elliot Goettelman), two good ol’ boys from Maynard, Texas, drinking their Lone Star Beer and shootin’ the breeze. Roy is a Vietnam veteran who cherishes three things – his country, his wife and his 1959 pink Thunderbird Convertible.

The story is at times touching, but is mainly fun. The play contains some adult language and content.

Opening night is April 26 at Birch Creek Music Performing Center in Egg Harbor. The Lodge at Leathem Smith will host a dinner show on April 27. The final performances are scheduled for May 3 & 4 at Third Avenue Playhouse. All shows begin at 7 pm.

Tickets for Birch Creek and TAP performances are $15, and $38 for the dinner performance at The Lodge at Leathem Smith.

For reservations, call the respective venues: Birch Creek, 868.3763; TAP, 743.1760; or The Lodge at Leathem Smith, 743.5555.
