As Rogue Theater begins packing and taking down its theater space at The Depot Performing Arts Center, it continues to put on shows for the community. The last show scheduled at The Depot will be Rogue’s murder mystery held in March as a dinner show. This I Love Lucy spoof takes a walk down memory lane with Lucy, Ricky, Fred, and Ethel when Rogue Theater presents Trouble at the Tropicabana, an audience participation murder mystery written by Tony Schwartz and Marylou Ambrose, directed by Stuart Champeau.

What can you expect from an audience participation murder mystery? Before the show get a chance to mingle with Lucy, Ricky, and other cast members as they drop hints about themselves and the show and give you a chance to ask questions. The cast includes Jamie Buesing as Lucy, Stuart Champeau as Ricky, Orie Milton as Fred, and Chris Milton as Ethel. Other members are Lola DeVillers (Celia), Dan Sallinen (Mr. Big), Keri Grimsley (Rosita), Mizu McCarthy and Ruby Ann Malek (cabana dancers).

The action takes place in Lucy and Ricky’s living room; then switches to Ricky’s club, the Tropicabana. You’ll hear Ricky sing some Latin favorites, see the Cabana girls dance, join in a conga line, and take mambo lessons. Someone will be ruthlessly murdered at the end of the show, and it’s up to the audience to solve the crime.

Shows at The Depot PAC, 341 N. Third Ave., are April 24 at 7:30 pm and April 26 at 2 pm. Tickets are $15. For reservations call Rogue Theater at 920.818.0816. Rogue will also present this show on April 25 at The Lodge at Leathem Smith as a dinner show in conjunction with the “Sassy Sister Weekend” events. For reservations for that show call The Lodge at Leathem Smith directly at 920.743.5555.

This weekend’s performances will mark the end of Rogue Theater’s run at The Depot PAC, which it has managed and operated since November 2013.

Co-owners Stuart Champeau and Lola DeVillers are currently searching for a new venue to host their theater, as well as storage space for their sets and props. To keep up with Rogue Theater, visit Facebook.com/RogueTheater.
