Rogue’s Romantic Comedy Offers Plenty of Laughs

The Rogue Theater stage is playing host to a romantic comedy, A Gentleman and a Scoundrel, Aug. 27 – Sept. 5.

In this show, Fred – a young analyst in a financial bind who’s also in love with his boss, Jenny – can’t get a pay raise, so he creates a plan to hire himself as his own assistant to increase his income. Trouble ensues when Jenny falls for this new assistant, and Fred becomes his own rival. The company’s credit investigator also discovers errors in Fred’s account, but each time he tries to confront Fred, Fred seems to disappear. Laughs follow as each person tries to make things right.

A Gentleman and a Scoundrel will be performed Fridays and Saturdays, 7 pm; and Sundays, 2 pm, in the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church’s Oasis Center, 1756 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay. Purchase tickets ($15 per adult and $10 per student) at roguetheater.org or by calling 920.818.0816.
