Roundabout Education Seminars Planned for June 15

Despite the growing number of roundabouts across the nation, for some drivers, roundabouts are new and can be a little intimidating at first. Door County will have its first two, multi-lane roundabouts open by July 1 on WIS 42/57 in Sturgeon Bay.

Come learn how to safely drive a multi-lane roundabout during a fun, brief presentation by a traffic safety engineer from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. He will discuss the lane markings, signage, choosing the correct lane, key rules to follow for drivers, information pedestrians need to know, and what to expect when you are in the roundabout.  The interactive PowerPoint presentation takes about 20 minutes, and there is a question and answer period to follow.
