Roy & Charlotte Lukes to Present at Algoma Garden Show

The 4th annual Dig-in Algoma Garden Show is set for May 4, 8 – 3 pm, at the Algoma Youth Club Gym.

The show features a variety of area vendors showcasing lawn and garden related products and services, along with hourly presentations on gardening and birding. The focus on birding is in support of Algoma’s recent designation as a Bird City Wisconsin community. Presentations begin at 8:45 am with the official Bird City award presentation by DNR representative Kim Grveles.

The presenters and topics are as follows:

• Kim Grveles at 9 am – “Great Lakes Stopover Sites: A Birdseye view of Conservation Measures.”

• Roy & Charlotte Lukes at 10 am – “Birds & Wildflowers of Northeastern Wisconsin.”

• Margaret Mary Gerhard at 11 am – “Yardening.”

• Margaret Mary Gerhard at 1 pm – “Avian Art Adventure.” (A bird art project limited to the first 25 people.)

• Mary & Dale Goodner at 2 pm – “Shake ‘n Bake Landscape.”

Admission is free and food and beverage is available throughout the day in support of the Kewaunee County 4-H Club.

Algoma Youth Club is located at 640 Lake Street.
