Rubble at Door County’s Gallery Ten

Rubble is what Beth Parsons has christened her handcrafted jewelry. She will present a collection of her latest work on July 23 for a one-day trunk show at Charlene’s Gallery Ten in Gills Rock from 11 am – 4 pm.

Parsons began her journey in jewelry design while living in Washington State, where several friends shared their love of wire wrapping and beading. In 2009, she began her own design company.

“I wanted a name to convey the process of transformation behind my jewelry,” Parsons explained. “When I start out with a bit of silver wire, some loose stones, add a dash of creativity and a certain attention to detail, eventually I transform it into a beautiful object. With the right chain of events, it becomes my own precious Rubble.”

Showcasing quality materials such as silver, semi-precious stones, freshwater and Japanese Keshi pearls, Swarovski crystal, glass beads and wood, Parsons fabricates her one-of-a-kind jewelry creations. No resin, plastic, or base metals are ever used.

She works from her studio in Mundelein, Illinois and displays in Door County and in the northern suburbs of Chicago.

Charlene’s Gallery Ten, open daily from 10 am – 5 pm, is located at 12625 Highway 42 in Gills Rock. GT Coffee, open daily from 8 am – 5 pm, compliments the gallery.
