Looking for a family friendly race event that caters to both new and experienced athletes? Mark your calendar for the Door County YMCA’s Labor Day Weekend Run & Duathlon on Aug. 31 at the Northern Door Program Center in Fish Creek.

Registration for the annual 5k run/walk, half-mile children’s race and duathlon with a 2-mile run/12-mile bike/2-mile run opens June 1. Participants who want to add a little team atmosphere to the event can participate in the duathlon pairs relay.

The festivities kick off with the duathlon at 8 am, the 5k run/walk will commence at 9:45 am and the children’s run will cap off the event at 10:15 am.

Mark your calendars and register early, as prices will increase on July 15 and Aug. 15. The prices are as follows:

Duathlon

$35 before July 15

$40 before Aug. 15

$45 after Aug. 16 through race day

$60 for pairs registration

5k Run/Walk

$20 before July 15

$25 before Aug. 15

$30 after Aug. 16 through race day

½ Mile Children’s Run

$10
